Description
Hey everyone! My housemate is moving so I'm looking for a new tenant to take over a large and bright double room in our first floor 2-bed flat. Move in would be from mid-April (19th latest) on a monthly rolling contract (but looking for someone to stay long-term).
Rent is £925 p/m not including bills. Bills are £160 p/m on average and we're in council tax band B. The room is unfurnished and is a great size with space for a double/king bed and whatever furniture fits. It has a big double glazed window that lets in lots of light, overlooking the garden.
The flat is in a beautiful, red brick end-of-terrace on a quiet but neighbourly residential crescent just 5 mins walk from Walthamstow Central Tube (Victoria/Overground) and Bus Station. It's in a super convenient location that's within 3 mins walking distance to all the shops on High/Hoe Street, 5 mins from a gym (The Gym Group), a full shopping centre and a large Lidl/Asda. The local area is fantastic with loads of shops, restaurants, pubs, a cinema and Soho Theatre. The flat is a 10min walk to the desirable Walthamstow Village which boasts boutiques, antique shops, bakeries, award winning eateries and lots of arty spots.
You'll be sharing the flat with: I'm Ore (she/her), 30yo, and work as an editor of lifestyle/craft books (WFH 3 days a week). I love going out/to gigs, ordering too many dishes at restaurants and collecting cookbooks I never actually cook from (though trying to change this!). Also enjoy going to the cinema, Pilates and singing in a choir.
A little bit about you: Ideally woman/NB, queer or queer friendly. 25-35 years old. You have proof of employment (up to 3 months of payslips). You keep things in common areas clean/tidy, are comfortable with keeping up with responsibilities around house related things and want a chill, relaxing living environment. You have liberatory politics and are looking for a safe living haven.
Accessibility: There's one step up to the main front door. There are 16 steps up into the flat which is on the first floor. The flat door entryway is quite narrow. There's a bathtub with an overhead shower. The walk from the station to the property is all flat pavement with lift access from the ticket hall to pavement.
Please note, there are no pets or (indoor) smokers allowed as per our contract.
DM me with a bit about you if you're interested!
