A friendly and ‘with it’ elderly lady is seeking a Sharer for her home to give her a mix of 15 hours’ help and company each week in exchange for the low-cost accommodation.

She currently lives alone and enjoys her independence; however, she would value the friendly reassurance and company of having someone in her home overnight for peace-of-mind both for her, and for her family. She would also appreciate some general practical help around the home such as picking up shopping, help with cooking and sharing the occasional meal, light cleaning and tidying, carrying heavier items, and ad hoc practical help and errands as may be needed.

The accommodation on offer is a bright single bedroom with built in wardrobes and shared use of the bathroom, kitchen, garden and downstairs sitting room

The property is in an excellent residential location 15 minutes’ walk from Clapham Junction Station, 10 minutes’ walk from Wandsworth Town, close to many bus routes and also to the open spaces of Wandsworth Common. Wandsworth Town centre with its many shops and amenities is also just 5-10 minutes’ walk away.

The lady enjoys classical music and listening to Classic FM, reading the Daily Mail and watching TV programmes such as Downton Abbey, Foyle’s War and As Time Goes By. She still paints too. Her daughter visits regularly (along with her small friendly dog – dog-lover essential) and she has a close family and her adult grandchildren also come and visit/stay from time-to-time.

As a Sharer you are free to work or study as long as you have enough spare time to give the agreed level of company and support. The ideal Sharer will be a positive, friendly, warm, kind, helpful and reliable non-smoker who ideally shares some of the person’s interests and would really appreciate the opportunity. This would best suit someone who goes out to work during the working week.
