Description
Hi there, we are Euan and Liam, a Brit and Aussie in their late 20's/early 30's looking for a third flatmate for our 3 bed flat near Clapham Junction/Northcote road area.
The room:
The bedroom comes with a double bed, shelves, wardrobe and bedside table. It has two windows which look out onto the communal garden and Wandsworth Common.
Rent: £780/month
Bills (incl. cleaner): £150ish/month
Deposit: £780
Tenancy: minimum of twelve months [obviously this isn’t technically the case as there’s a break clause but I imagine you would want anyone to stay for a minimum of 12 months]
The location:
The flat is in a great location - a 12 minute walk to Clapham Junction station, 10 mins to Northcote Road and 5 mins to St Johns Hill. It’s also only 20 mins to Wandsworth Southside, where there is a wide range of shops, restaurants, bars and supermarkets.
Besides the trains, there is a bus stop outside the flat and a Santander cycles docking station a couple of minutes down the road. Wandsworth Common is right across the road and Gordon Ramsay lives a few doors down, although he's yet to invite us for dinner.
The flat:
The flat is large, split-level and really good value for the area. Downstairs is a large kitchen with fridge/freezer, washing machine, microwave, oven, gas hob and lots of storage. Next door is the lounge diner with doors that open out onto a large communal garden which catches the sun for most of the day. It is perfect for BBQs in the summer.
Upstairs are the 3 bedrooms, shared shower room and separate toilet. We rent the flat directly through the landlady. She's really diligent and has dealt with any issues we've had quickly.
The flatmates:
Liam and I are very easy going, chilled people who are quite big into sports (running, cycling, gym, occasional padel and beach volleyball!). We both have out own friend groups and activities outside of the flat but enjoy having a chat while cooking dinner, or watch TV or the football in the evening or weekend when its on. We're not big party people but we do occasionally go out to the pub or pub quiz as a flat and are keen to keep semi-regular flat activities like these ongoing with whoever is coming in! We are also both clean and tidy and aim to keep the communal areas so for the next person using them!
I (Euan) have been in this flat for two years and this will be my third. I'm easy going, sociable and clean and tidy. I work in the civil service in Westminster and am generally in the office about half of the week. Outside of work I do a fair bit of gym and running, latin dance, spanish classes and generally out seeing friends or going to the pub.
Liam has been in the flat for a couple months. He is from Australia but has lived in London for several years now. He is similarly easy going and sociable and a keen runner and cyclist, often training for a marathon or triathlon.
You:
We’re looking for a clean & tidy, easy-going and sociable flatmate, guy or girl, who is happy to chill out and watch TV when we’re all in, rather than someone who will hide away in their room. Extra mark if your keen to join us on our monthly pub quiz trip! The room doesn't have a desk so might be tricky for someone who is WFH a lot.
If you are interested in viewing the room please drop us a message. Look forward to hearing from you!
