Description
Sadly, our flatmate is moving out and we’re looking for another girl to move in with us. No boys please, sorry!!
This room is small but there is a cupboard for you on the landing, loads of storage space around the flat and big communal areas. The bed is also quite tall so lots of space to store things under the bed.
The flat is split over two floors and has two bathrooms (one shared and one en-suite). Lounge and bedrooms have lovely big windows so it always feels light and airy.
There is also space in a shed outside to keep a bike if needed.
Bills come to about £90/month. We take turns cleaning weekly, but you are welcome to hire a cleaner if you prefer.
We are 10mins walk from Wandsworth Town and 20mins walk from Clapham Junction.
We have a dishwasher, loads of kitchen equipment and a washer/dryer.
About us:
Amelie is 34-years-old and a French-teacher. You might hear her singing in French in her room when she does her online classes (only one afternoon a week). She loves baking and we often chip in so that we can share the wonderful things that she bakes. She has also recently become addicted to knitting and gyms regularly! She enjoys the occasional night out. Amelie has an en-suite.
Courtney (me!) is a 32-year-old South African Speech and Language Therapist working in an SEN school. I’ve also started knitting but I’m not as good as Amelie! I love reading, listening to chilled music, board games, crafting and dog walking other peoples’ dogs. You would be sharing a bathroom with me.
This a social flat where most of the previous tenants over the past 6 or so years still remain in touch and still visit! We know quite a few of the neighbours and have put a lot of effort into making the flat homely. We occasionally go out for drinks but are usually in bed by 10pm. We love to go out for brunch and picnics in the summer.
Over the years, we’ve put a lot of effort, thought and personal funds into making the flat cosy. We’ve spent hours painting, tending to the plants and choosing decorative bits. You don’t have to join in on this (although your input is always welcome) but we do ask that you are clean, neat and respectful.
We both like our down-time and keep to ourselves at times but also enjoy spending time together and having a glass of wine, watching Bridgerton together or venting to each other about our days.
We are looking for someone who is like-minded, will help take care of the plants and will help us make this flat a home with us. You must be a professional and employed (landlord’s rules), preferably not working from home more than one day a week.
If this sounds like you (and you’ve made it this far!) then please get in touch and tell us your favourite cleaning product, your favourite flower/plant, what you’re watching right now and a bit about you. Because of the price and location, there will most likely be a lot of applicants but we will try our best to get back to as many as possible who have answered the questions.
