Description

Hi. We’re looking for a new flatmate to share our 3 bedroom flat with.

Us:
We’re Vale and Maija, working in fashion and hospitality. We’ve lived in this flat for 1 and 2.5 years respectively. Neither is currently working from home.
Our weekends are a mixture of spending time at home and out and about. Occasionally a friend will stay over when visiting from back home or join for a dinner. Weekday evenings we usually cook or watch Netflix on the sofa or recover from the day in the comfort of our own rooms. It's generally a peaceful household.
Vale likes murder mysteries, markets and yoga. Maija will often spend Sundays watching F1 and complaining about having to travel to east London to see friends.

The house:
Furniture staying in the room: queen bed with 2 under bed drawers, built in chest of drawers, wardrobe, 3 wall shelves. This room gets the morning sun.
The living room is big and bright, there's a good size kitchen with modern appliances and a massive fridge, and a nice modern bathroom. There is a shared green space behind the building.
We have a weekly cleaning rota and are using splitwise for cleaning products/household necessities.
Unfortunately there is no step-free access.

The area:
Wandsworth town station is 5 mins away, any bus that goes through the area can be reached within 5 mins, Wandsworth riverside quarter pier is also nearby if your commute includes a boat. Southside shopping centre is just across the road where you’ll find a Lidl, Boots, Primark etc and a big Sainsbury’s just next door. A number of gyms are within a short walking distance, at least one with a pool. There’s a Cineworld in the shopping centre, a few nice parks nearby for weekend strolls and many cute independent cafes to explore.

When you move in a new rolling contract for the whole flat will be drawn up by the landlord. Even though the contract is for the whole flat the landlord is aware the rooms are rented separately and changes the contract when a tenant moves so the responsibility is split three ways.
Neither of us is planning to move out anytime soon, so you won’t have to worry about looking for a new flatmate in the near future.
We have a good relationship with the landlord, he is very easygoing, attentive but respectful of our privacy. The rent has just been increased by £100 for the whole flat. The last time it was incresed was 2021 by £50. The landlord has promised not to increase it for at least another few years.

The bills are currently about £115 a month (council tax band d, broadband, water and gas&electric) with the exception of Feb and March when we don’t pay council tax.

The move in date is between 9th and 14th September.

If you're happy with the sound of this, please drop us a message telling a bit about yourself.
