Double Room for Female Housemate

FEMALE LODGER PREFERRED

(Our current housemate from Germany has been living with us for a year and a half, but she’ll be moving out soon as she’s completed her studies and started working at a large corporate company. Viewings for her room will begin after she moves out on April 20, 2025.)

I am looking for a female lodger, ideally an international university student who follows a vegetarian, vegan, or halal diet.

The available room is a fully furnished double bedroom (see photos/virtual tour). The house is spacious, peaceful, and located in the leafy Wanstead area, providing a warm and homely environment.

Currently, the household consists of just me and my child. We are quiet, friendly, and respectful individuals. I work full-time on weekdays, and my son attends school.

About the Living Arrangements:
• The rest of the house will be shared.
• I provide essential household supplies, including cleaning products, bed linens, towels, toilet rolls, kitchen rolls, and kitchenware. However, you’re welcome to use your own bedding and towels if preferred.
• I cook once or twice a week, focusing on Italian, Middle Eastern, and Mediterranean dishes (no South Asian cuisine or seafood). As part of this small family home, you are welcome to join us for evening meals.

Household Expectations:
• There are no major household chores apart from general tidiness.
• A weekly vacuuming routine is expected.
• Everyone is responsible for cleaning up after themselves.
• I clean the communal areas once a week, and you will be expected to do the same (excluding each other’s bedrooms).

Important Notes:

Since this is a halal household, we prefer a vegetarian female housemate. Therefore, the following rules apply:
• No alcohol
• No pork
• No males

Female friends are welcome to visit and stay overnight, but boyfriends, husbands, or male partners are not allowed.

Location & Transport:
• University of East London (UEL): 10-15 minutes by bus.
• Queen Mary University: 35-45 minutes by bus.
• Leytonstone/Wanstead Underground Stations: 10-15 minutes by foot or bus.
• Central London: 20-25 minutes by Central Line from either station.

Local Hospital bus ride 10-15 mins or 25 mins walk. Perfect location for medical students or hospital workers.

Viewings:

Available from 5th April to 20th April
• Weekdays (Monday-Friday): 8 AM - 8 PM
• Weekends (Saturday & Sunday): 12 PM - 6 PM
