Description
*When enquiring about the room please share a little bit about yourself and whether you work from home or are office based. I will only reply to those who have sent me a brief introduction of themselves.*
We're looking for a new flatmate to join our 3-bedroom house in lovely Wapping. The house is right by the Ornamental Canal, very well connected, so it is perfect for someone working in the city and trying to avoid public transport.
- 7 mins walk to Wapping or Shadwell overground stations
- 15 mins walk to Tower Hill station and Tower Gateway Overground.
- 15 mins walk to Aldgate East
- 5 mins walk to the lovely St Katharine Docks
There is a big Waitrose a couple of minutes away and a couple of Sainsbury's Local.
House has a small garden, spacious kitchen with dining area, living room on the first floor. No additional furniture is to be added to the common areas . Anything you bring with you, will have to fit in your room. There's no TV in the living room and we don't want one. If you need a TV, you can of course have it in your room but you will be solely responsible for the TV licence.
The room has a bed, built-in wardrobe and an en-suite bathroom.
We're a friendly household, we like having a chat but at the same time we respect each other's space. We work a lot so in the house we love our peace and quiet. If you're looking for a party house, this is NOT the place for you. Occasional house guests (friends and family) are of course allowed as long as it's not all the time. If you plan on having people over every week, again this is NOT the place for you.
We don't have a cleaner and share cleaning duties for the common areas. We expect our new flatmate to do the same and help us look after the house. If the person who takes the room doesn't help out with cleaning and taking the rubbish out, their tenancy will be terminated on the 6th month.
Bills add up to £120-£130 per person per month on average. Obviously in the winter, bills will be a bit more. The house is allocated council tax band G.
No agencies are involved, we deal with the landlord directly.
Not suitable for students. We're looking for a working professional, who is NOT working from home. If you take the room and during your tenancy you switch to home office, you will be responsible for a larger portion of the bills and your tenancy will not be renewed further after the contract comes to an end.
If you're interested, or have any questions, then please drop me a message and I can answer any queries or arrange a viewing. When enquiring about the room please share a little bit about yourself and whether you work from home or are office based.
