Hi there!
We are really excited to be looking for a new flatmate for our three bedroom house in Wapping. The bedroom is a double on the ground floor of our house, and comes with a shower and toilet just across the hallway which no one in the house uses. The room is super cosy, and comes with the bed, small chest of drawers, and additional storage space in the hallway. The room will be available to move into from October 1st.
The house has a huge amount of space for 3 people and is spread over 3 floors, with a bedroom on each floor which leaves us all with lots of space to spread out and a level of privacy. The place is pretty kitted out with fast broadband, a lounge, lots of storage etc. and with a great backyard which backs out onto Wapping Woods, has an outdoor fireplace, and is great to hang out in during the summer.
The total cost of the room is £810. Bills come up to approx additional £120-150 extra per month each, depending on the season ( but with the rising energy prices, this could change down the line ). We also have a cleaner that visits once every 2 months at £14 each per visit. . Deposit is £1000.
Wapping is a fantastic part of town and a real hidden gem - right on the cusp of zone 1, and on the Thames with a riverside beach on our doorstep. We have plenty of great pubs in the area, a Waitrose and a farmers market on our doorstep every Saturday. Although central, it’s very quiet so great to escape the bustle of the city, and we are a 5 minute walk from both the overground line at Wapping station and the DLR line at Shadwell, which means it’s pretty easy to get around the city.
You’ll be living with two housemates, Lucy and Ros. Ros works in film marketing and Lucy work in client relations. We are looking for a professional who is easy going, clean, considerate, queer/ally, willing to participate in the cleaning rota and splitwise and wants to make this their home! 😊
