Double room in 2 bed flat in Wapping

Hi, I have a room available to rent in my current 2 bed & 2 storey second floor furnished flat in Wapping, from November 11 2026 on a monthly rolling contract. The bedroom is large with a double bed, large wardrobe, and is south facing so full of sunlight. We also have a large living room, also south facing, with a balcony. The kitchen has all key amenities including a fridge-freezer, microwave, stove, oven, and laundry machine. The flat is in a gated property with a small gym included. It's in the heart of Wapping, overlooking Shadwell basin and 1 minute from the famous Prospect of Whitby - 6 minute walk from Wapping station (Windrush line) and 8 minute walk from Shadwell station (Windrush line and DLR). The rent is £1150 per month, plus bills (electricity+water+wifi) which are around £80 a month per person.

A bit about me: I am half Singaporean half Swiss, grew up in Singapore, but have been living in the UK for over 10 years. I'm doing a PhD in neuroscience and spend most of my time thinking about neuro! I enjoy many active hobbies, and love going on day or weekend hiking/camping trips. I also enjoy baking, yoga, going to jazz gigs, and just chilling with a good book or listening to some records. I've been living in the flat for 3 years, so it is a well loved home.

A bit about my lifestyle: I do lab-based work so I rarely work from home. I really value personal space and like my home to be a peaceful and cozy place. I also value cleanliness, so I will very rarely leave a mess and like to make sure the flat is clean. I probably enjoy nights in more than nights out (I'm a sociable introvert). I am a flexible pescatarian, but vegetarian most of the time.

I am looking for: A flat mate who is clean and respectful, wants to live in a cozy home, is friendly and open-minded.
