Hi, My housemate is sadly leaving to move in with their partner so there's a bright double bedroom with a separate study (or second room) available in our two-bedroom flat which overlooks Shadwell Basin in Wapping.
The flat is calm and light-filled, part of a postmodern Grade II listed building with plenty of character and lovely views. The development is gated, with friendly neighbours and excellent connections via the Overground and DLR.
What is included:
-A bright double bedroom
- A second private room, ideal as a home office or extra space to make your own
- A large shared living room and separate kitchen, both with plenty of storage and cosy corners
- A balcony with amazing views across the basin and towards Canary Wharf
- Secure bike storage in our garage, plus visitor parking
- A Saturday market with live music right on the basin, along with all the everyday essentials nearby
The flat has a relaxed, lived-in feel. We have kept it clean, green and welcoming for us and guests. I'm keen for whoever moves in to feel comfortable and am happy to move things around.
About me, I’m Jim, an architect working near Old Street. I’m easy-going, considerate and sociable, and I’m looking for someone who’s similarly relaxed, tidy and appreciates a quiet but welcoming home environment. Besides work I usually spend my free time with friends, cycling or getting away to see new places - though keen on a chilled one at the flat with the housemates when it works!
The room is available from the start of October and it will be a joint tenancy for 18 months - though the landlord is pretty reasonable so we can discuss. The flat is in council tax band E.
