Description
Not just a place to live, but a home
# About our house
Oliver & Juliette have been friends for 13 years now. We moved in together 3 years ago and have loved living together in Little Venice. We love to share music, good cooking and great conversations.
# Staples of our home:
- We host a monthly music jam bringing together friends from across London for a night of co-creation, music, poetry, and more.
- We love hosting and co-creation - we’ll likely be very up for running dinners, play fights, art days & more!
- We’re very cuddly, supportive and there for each other - this isn’t just where we live. It’s very much our home.
- We’re here for each other professionally too - looking for some intense sales coaching, negotiation, or career advice? We love helping each other thrive.
# The physical place:
- 3 beds, 2 bathrooms, a balcony and a very big living room & kitchen. The bedrooms are small but the common space is really generous. We have a large open plan kitchen & living room, with a big comfy sofa, windows on both sides and a huge mirror in the middle so the room is really bright. The kitchen has a gas burner, sink, large fridge & freezer, dishwasher, and all the usual amenities.
- Incredibly conveniently located - right on the edge of Zone 1, with 3 tube stops that are walking distance from the flat (closest one just 5 mins away) - see below for more details
- Beautifully decorated, with houseplants, paintings and mood lighting - and we're always open to more improvements & co-creation
# The room
This room is fairly small (not much floorspace) but well-equipped. You have:
- A queen bed & mattress provided.
- Storage: The room contains a chest of drawers, and a bookshelf. There is additional storage under the bed. There is also a cupboard in the living room you can use for hanging suits, dresses or other clothes that require coat-hangers.
- Blackout Blinds and thick curtains: The room has thick red curtains that block out a lot of light (you can change them if you want to re-do the colour scheme). There is also a blackout cover you can attach to the window with velcro if you want it to be even more pitch black for a great night of sleep!
- Window: The window gives out onto trees and the other buildings in the housing complex. It’s a very quiet area of London, with no road outside the window.
- Work station: There is a desk with a comfortable office chair, and ring-lights so you can look professional on your Zoom calls.
- Bathroom access: We have 2 bathroom/shower rooms in the house. Juliette’s room is an ensuite, so you share the main bathroom with Oliver. It’s equipped with a bath that is also a shower, large sink, toilet, heated towel rack, and big mirror.
You're welcome to change up some of the furniture in your room if you'd like to.
# Amazing Location
We’re right in the heart of London - on the boundary of Zone 1/2. We are walking distance to 3 tube stops.
1. Warwick Avenue - You can get the Bakerloo line straight into central London. 6 min walk.
2. Royal Oak - You can get the the Hammersmith and City Line and the Circle line to a variety of destinations. 6 min walk.
3. Paddington Station - You can get trains to many cities outside London and also access 5 tube lines: Elizabeth, Bakerloo, Circle, District and Hammersmith & City lines. 12-15 min walk depending on what area of the station you’re going to.
#Bills
Usually £140 per month or less, and that includes a cleaner who comes by every two weeks to refresh the flat.
