Description
Hello! Our great flatmate is leaving us to move in with his significant other, so we're looking for a replacement for a lovely, spacious room in a Waterloo-based flat. We're only interested in professionals at this time, and we'd like to prioritize long tenancies. The room is available as of 1 December.
Without further ado –
THE ROOM: is an airy double that comes well-furnished with a double bed, night stand, bedside table, desk, chair. Some of the furniture is not the one featured in the pictures, but the room will come with all these pieces. This is the quietest in the house, if you're keen on your beauty sleep!
THE FLAT: is set over two floors, featuring a large kitchen, a bathroom, a small laundry room and heaps of storage space. There is sadly NO common area/living room. We've been blessed with the usual appliances (fridge, stove/oven, washing machine), as well as double-glazed windows everywhere.
THE AREA: is very safe and well-connected. The flat is within a 2-minute walk of Waterloo station and a 5-min walk of Southwark. The region has plenty of amenities, from Tesco, Sainsbury's and Marks & Spencer shops to pubs, bookstores, the eclectic Lower Marsh market and the delightful presence of the Old & Young Vic theatres. You can also find a few restaurants and fair venues over a 10-min walk to the London Eye.
THE HOUSEHOLD: comes with two female professionals who keep a pretty busy schedule and like to believe they have a great sense of humour (they're probably wrong). We're keen on a very clean, respectful and drama-free environment, so do touch base if you're into the same. If that's not cutting it yet, we can (literally) sweeten the deal with a reliable supply of household cake. And tiramisu, on request.
THE COSTS: you are looking at a monthly rent of £700, with bills paid separately. In the past, bills (council tax, gas, water, electricity and broadband) have come at around £100 per month, depending on the season. There is a £850 deposit, and our letting agency will require references.
