Description
Light and welcoming room in a calm, friendly household, right next to West Dulwich station, with easy access to the West End and the City. The room is a good size, with a built-in single bed. The bed is comfortable, but probably not suitable if you're very tall/large. All bills and wifi included.
If you're interested in the room you'll find a lot of info in this ad - so do read all of it. I won't respond if it seems as though you haven't - there are many responses coming in. When you message, the more you can tell me about yourself and your life/work routine the better. I'm also happy to answer questions. Now read on...
I'm renting Monday to Friday because of the single bed and because I have art materials stored in the plan chest drawers in the room and will occasionally need access to them - so it might be easier if this is not your main home. I'm not dead against a full time let, probably to someone spending their working days out of the house, so get in touch if you want to discuss this.
I'm looking to rent to a woman, probably someone with regular daytime working hours who needs a weekday base in London close to a station (we are very close!). Please note minimum age (28) - I'm 54.
I'm often away, so there will frequently be just two of you in the flat. With my current lodger (who's staying) I have a good balance between sociability and independence - regular chats, but giving each other space. In general we're pretty low key at home and tend to be earlyish to bed, so only get in touch if this fits with your own preferences/routine.
The room is furnished with single bed with under-bed drawer, bedside cabinet, table and chair, a high shelf, a large cabinet and wall rails for hanging clothes. There's plenty of room to put down a yoga mat if that's a part of your routine.
The flat is on the ground floor, surrounded by communal green areas in a block set away from main road/traffic noise, with a balcony area to the rear. Local shops a couple of minutes walk away. Lots of parks on the doorstep; free tennis courts 2 mins walk away at Belair Park, Dulwich Park and Gallery less than 10 mins walk.
We're one minute's walk from West Dulwich station, so as well as very quick travel time to Brixton and Victoria (5 and 12 mins respectively on the train), there is an easy connection at Herne Hill to the line up through Blackfriars, Farringdon and St Pancras, and on to Luton or Bedford. We're also on the route of buses 3, P13 and 201 that connect us to central London, Brixton, Streatham, East Dulwich and New Cross.
