Description
* About Us: *
We are two long-time friends (both women aged 29) who have been living in this flat since 2021. We both have busy social lives but also enjoy hanging out and catching up on our favourite TV.
Ideally we would love to keep up the same mellow, relaxed vibe of the flat. We love a cinema trip and the occasional pub quiz, but also appreciate some quality downtime at home.
Both of us have full-time jobs (in the arts) and work from home a few days a week.
* About the Flat: *
This is a bright, double room in a top-floor flat in a classic Victorian red-brick block in West Hampstead. We have a separate living room and kitchen, a bathroom as well as a separate WC.
This room faces roughly east, with a big window looking onto some communal gardens.
It is already part-furnished, so includes: double bed, wardrobe and 2x bedside cabinets.
The block is on a quiet tree-lined street and is a very safe and friendly building (6 flats total) filled with families/professionals.
* Transport: *
The flat is very well-located:
- Within a 10-min walk from West Hampstead tube (Jubilee), overground (Mildmay) and Thameslink
- Within a 15-min walk from Finchley Road tube (Metropolitan/Jubilee) and overground (Mildmay)
- The area is served by numerous bus routes which go directly to central London, as well as National Express coach routes along Finchley Road
- Street parking permits can be bought (free at weekends).
We are a moment away from the main high street, which benefits from plenty of shops, bars, restaurants, supermarkets and gyms.
There are several green spaces nearby, including Fortune Green and West Hampstead Green, and we are also very close to beautiful Hampstead Heath.
* Note on Rental Terms: *
Bills are not included in the base price. We are council tax band E.
The current tenancy period ends on 12 June, so we will be signing a new lease agreement with you as the third signatory (likely with an annual increase of rent, which we have negotiated with our landlord in past years. The stated base rent in this advert is an estimate which may change very slightly.)
We expect, under the new laws, that the tenancy agreement going forward will be a rolling contract, but we would appreciate the stability of a minimum 12-month commitment.
