Description
Our lovely flatmate is moving into a new place, so we’re looking for a new, gay-friendly professional to share this fantastic West Hampstead flat.
-- The location --
The location's great - 10-15 minutes' walk or a lazy bus journey from West Hampstead itself which, besides lovely places to eat and drink and very nice shops, will need no introduction as one of the best-connected spots in London. Head the other way down Mill Lane and you're quickly in Kilburn where there's another Jubilee line stop, cheap shopping, and good pubs.
-- The flat --
The flat is fantastic - a bit rough around the edges, but welcoming, spacious and comfortable. Besides the three bedrooms there's a huge shared front room, a bathroom, and a decent kitchen. Downstairs there's also a huge shared garden - almost like having your own park, and perfect for a summer picnic! The rooms are furnished, though if you’ve got your own bits and pieces you’d probably be able to squeeze them in, and there's on-street parking if you need it - Camden council permit required if you'll be parked during the day.
-- The room --
This is a cosy room towards the rear of the flat, fully furnished with a double bed, wardrobe and storage space. The actual rent is £535 and we all contribute an extra £160 to a flat account, which we manage, for bills. This covers gas, electricity and council tax, bits and pieces like loo roll, and a weekly visit from a cleaner to keep the communal areas in top shape.
-- The flatmate --
For us the flat’s definitely a home rather than just a place to live, so we’re looking to share with an easy-going professional who’s friendly and thoughtful, and probably not too noisy. Both of us are busy professionals (one of us is a teacher, the other a solicitor) so we tend to be on the quieter side at home, especially during the week - but we also enjoy all the usual things – meeting up with friends, going to the gym, travelling, lazy Sundays on the sofa. We’re both pretty easygoing and would like to carry on having that balance between doing stuff together as a flat, and not feeling guilty about having a bit of independent downtime.
