Description
Room available in a beautiful 2-bedroom flat in a red brick mansion building in West Kensington. West Kensington/Barons Court and West Brompton tube stations are equally an 8-minute walk so it’s a great location.
The room is available for £1180, and bills are approx £200 p/m on top of that and include a cleaner that comes every other week. The room has a double bed, built-in wardrobes, bedside tables and shelving. There’s more storage in the hallways if needed as well. The flat is bigger than most 2-bed flats in the complex, as we have a separate kitchen - which includes a dishwasher and washing machine, a living room, plus a dining room (most flats here in the complex don’t have a dining room from what I have seen). There’s one bathroom but it’s kept clean and tidy and we have a professional cleaner come in every other week - I’m also respectful of not hogging the bathroom, especially before work in the mornings!
Landlady is great and very good at fixing the flat as needed.
The flat is on the top floor of a beautiful red brick mansion block. Our living room is south-facing, which means it gets lots of sunlight, and the bedrooms overlook the residents’ gardens and tennis courts, so it’s super peaceful at night. As I said, we have a well-kept garden and tennis courts that are free to use for residents. There’s a porter service that takes our rubbish away every day and an estate team that keep everything looking lovely. Every year, we’re offered free tickets to Queen’s Club’s tennis tournament under resident tickets. Parking requires a permit from the council, but can be obtained.
Existing flatmate:
I’m Charlie, a 36-year-old marketing professional working in the film industry. I love going to the cinema, reading, eating out, watching F1, beer gardens in the summer, socialising with friends and travelling. My ideal housemate is somebody similar (maybe works in corporate too), who also works in the office some of the week, and is respectful of others’ space, but also wants to cook dinner and watch a show together now and then. If you’re similar to me (a few post-work events every so often or out for dinner or out exploring etc), then the flat never feels crowded, and you’ll get some time here on your own too. This was the setup my previous housemate and I had, and it’s honestly just been the best - so peaceful and respectful of each other. The flat really does feel like a home, so looking forward to somebody who wants to treat it as such :)
