Double Room in Friendly West Kensington Home + Gar

Hello! Our lovely housemate Tanya is moving out at the end of the school teaching term, so we’re looking for someone new to join our home :)

We’re a 31-year-old couple living in a lovely house in a brilliant central location in West Kensington, just a few minutes from both the District and Piccadilly lines. It’s a great spot with quick access to Kensington, Fulham and Hammersmith and a 10 minute walk from Olympia.

There are Santander and ‘Ebike’ docks on the street. It is in a safe, quiet and central residential area. There’s a convenience store at the end of the road and most things you could need are within walking distance.

The available room is at the back of the house, so it’s reasonably quiet, and it gets lots of natural light. It comes with a double bed and has reasonable amount of space - Tanya currently has a piano, desk, chair and guitar in there with space to work from home if needed.

The kitchen/lounge is open plan and welcoming, with space to cook and relax. We both work from home, although usually from our own room, so the shared spaces tend to stay fairly calm during the day. Happy to send a video of the room before arranging a viewing so you can get a proper feel for it. The flat also comes with a lovely private patio and garden!

A bit about us: we’re a friendly, easy-going couple. Both professionals, I work in events and my partner in finance. We have a good circle of friends and enjoy the occasional pub outing, but we’re not a party house and generally keep things fairly calm. We only host a few big things a year (e. g. Thanksgiving), so the house is mostly relaxed, quiet and homely. We prefer board games and cosy nights in. On weekends, we often go to Barn Elms sports centre to play tennis with friends (when we’re up for it!)

We’re looking for someone to join us - ideally someone kind, tidy and easy to live with. We’re very happy sharing our home and would love someone who feels comfortable here, whether that’s having the odd chat, sharing a drink now and then, or just doing their own thing.
As we’re a couple, it also works out as a really great deal for the third person moving in - you’re getting roughly half the space while paying just a third of the rent.

We don’t have any pets, but we’re open to someone who does.
