Basic info:

Period: 1st February 2024 - 1st December 2024 +
Hi all, my name is Tony, looking for a chill and friendly housemate to move in on the 1st March to switch with a housemate who is leaving. The house:
The bedroom is a good size, with room for a desk, and will be unfurnished. The house is a Victorian maisonette spread over two floors; the rooms are large and bright with high ceilings. The living room has a bay window with sofas, dining table, large TV etc. The kitchen includes a dishwasher, electric hob and lots of storage space. The bathroom has a shower and bath, as well as a washing machine and storage space. The garden is large and contains a 19 sq. m studio space which is mainly used by me for stone carving and other projects. I’m particularly keen to find people who want to use the space.
The area: The house is in West Norwood, a chill and leafy area in SE27. Tulse Hill station is on the end of the road and therefore very well connected on the Southern and Thameslink lines. There is a road out the front with resident-only parking. Lots of shops close by, as well as a GP, pharmacy, dentist and 24h gym on the end of the road. Accessibility:
The house has lots of steps, with a step into the front garden, a flight up to the front door, a flight up to the kitchen, a further flight to the living room, and then a further flight to the bathroom, and another to the bedroom. There is a locked front door into the lobby and another locked door into the flat, no intercom or keyless entry system. Everywhere is double-glazed and is therefore generally quiet and easy to heat.
The contract: The house is let directly by the landlord and the contract is set up to run until December 2028. Also, just fyi, in unexpected timing my other housemate is moving at the same time and currently looking directly for someone to fill her room. So you might see two ads for the same house up.
Me: I’m Irish and a stone mason and work primarily on conservation and restoration projects. I also a personal practice in stone carving and leather work. I’m a pretty big geek for films, books and tv.
Feel free to message on here if you are happy with all of the above or have a specific question which hasn’t already been covered.
Thanks!
