Description
Hello!
I’m a 46-year-old professional and I’m looking to buddy up with 2 other people to share the 3-bed house that I currently live in.
My friends (and their cat) are moving out and I want to renew the contract with the letting agency, so we would sign a one-year tenancy agreement. The contract ends in November, but my friends will be moving out a few weeks earlier, so the move-in date could be flexible – all depending on how long the agency’s reference checks will take. The (ex-council) house comes unfurnished and once my friends have moved out, all the rooms in the photos/videos will be empty as it's their furniture. The house has a good-sized kitchen, living room, garden, garage and a second separate toilet. The two rooms available are good-sized doubles, one at £720 plus 5 weeks deposit (approx. £830 deposit) and the other at £635 (deposit approx. £730) without bills. The bills are currently just under £140 per person per month. As of now we've not been informed if they want to increase the rent. That said, the landlord has increased the rent by about £150 over the past 3 years, so if they do put it up, I don't think it will be by much. Both rooms have extra storage, so there’s plenty of space for a double bed, desk and chest of drawers and/or plants, lots of clothes.
A little bit about me: I’m a professional in a job that I hope to be able to swap for one in a field relevant to my sociology degree I completed this summer. From October I'll be studying for a master’s part-time in the evenings, so I’ll be busy, mostly keeping my head down and getting on with work. That said, I’m very sociable and easily persuaded to go for a walk or to have a glass of wine/beer/dinner. Even when I'm not studying, I like to live in a calm and quite home, bar the occasional dinner with friends, so this is not a party house. I'm considerate of my flatmates' privacy, I'm quiet and also very clean and tidy, making sure I leave the place the way I'd like to find it. I currently work from home 3 days a week and don't mind if my flatmates work from home at the same time. Whenever possible, I try to get out and see my friends and go cycling, walking, hiking, going to the pub and the occasional gig.
If you have any further questions, please do let me know :-)
