Description
Female Professionals preferred
Hello,
A room is becoming available from ***October 3rd***
If you’re a **fully vaccinated** professional, that knows how to recycle, doesn't smoke/vape or get cold easily, is tidy & clean, is trustworthy and honest, and ideally doesn't work from home, we'd love to hear a little bit about you and why you think you’d make a great flatmate?
A large double room that's semi furnished with great lighting has become available in this average dusty flat in a great location.
Room - £1060 (including bills)
I’d like to think that we’re on a quiet street but since we don’t have double glazing and whoever built flats probably hadn’t heard of soundproofing, that would be a lie. We're also on the 3rd floor so no imminent risk of flooding.
The great thing though is that there’s bit of everything around (3 different supermarkets, restaurants, shops, gym, parks), which makes most places very accessible.
We’re between Royal Oak Station (Circle & Hammersmith & City Lines) and Bayswater (Circle & District Lines) / Queensway (Central Line) - 8 min away. We’re 15 min from Portobello Road, and 10 min from Hyde Park. Paddington Station is about 10 min away too.
.
The room has some furniture - bed is for sale. Room will have some storage, 2 couches, and a desk.
It's a 3 bedroom flat **without** living room (hence the affordability in such a central location), so socialising often happens in the tiny kitchen (or outside). I must re-iterate again, **no living room**, in case you've read the previous line too quickly.
As mentioned above, this is an old, average flat (don’t get your hopes up) that could use some lovin’, gets quite dusty (would you believe it?, they've put carpet everywhere :/), prefers to be chill and isn’t interested in drama (yes the flat has feelings too - a few many years of neglect to recover from).
We're looking for a kind, respectful and positive flatmate that likes to keep things tidy and clean, wears layers when it gets cold instead of cranking up the heaters (no double glazing, and energy bills only going up), doesn't have a dust allergy (for your own good) and knows how to recycle (sounds basic but you’d be surprised how many people don’t know how to). Someone that is trustworthy, mature, honest, and reliable - not looking to be uncomfortable in our own home.
The agency also has a few requirements :
- Copy of the passport
- Proof of address
- 3 months bank statement
- 3 payslips
- £760 deposit
- No pets
- More documents we might find out about together
I’ve lived here for 6+ years and despite cold winters and many clogged drains that get unclogged (thank you maintenance man), it’s pretty great to be in such a central location and that's mostly what you pay for - the location.
Again, would love to hear more about you (personal, professional, hobbies, why you're looking to move, how long you've been in London, how you cohabitate, pet peeves) and why you think you'd make a great flatmate, if you’ve read this far and accepted that this will be an honest flatshare!
Current flatmates: 27 in marketing, 33 in recruiting, very chill.
Please let us know more about yourself.
If the ad is still up: yes, it's still available. Also, please take the time to tell us about yourself. If you're unable to message (damn early bird), please show interest and we might reach out. The flat is available from October 3rd.
Thank you.
C & J
*Council Tax Band E.
PS: Due to the volume of interest, we won't be able to get back to everyone unfortunately, and it's probably even going to take us ages to figure out who to pick so apologies in advance if you don't hear back, all the best in your search, and may the odds be in your favour in this crazy market.
Thank you again for reading!
