Description
We have a cosy, fully-furnished double room available in our lovely North London home. The room comes fully furnished with clothes rail, shelving, desk, chest of drawers, a king-size bed, and optional linen if needed.
You'll be sharing the house with Makeda (me!), a creative professional and the daughter of the homeowner — which means any issues that come up are dealt with quickly and easily. Hera, my blind rescue dog, also lives here — she's a gentle soul and a total dreamboat. You'll also be living with Jocelyn, a super sweet and friendly lady from the Haiti/Virginia attending the Savile Row Academy until next July.
The house includes:
* A large communal kitchen
* A wet room/shower
* A garden
* Living room is used as my home office and not a shared space
* Loads of plants throughout the house 🌿
This is not a party house — we enjoy a peaceful, respectful and relaxed atmosphere where everyone gets on with their lives but is also open to the occasional chat in the kitchen.
Who we're looking for: We’re ideally looking for a female housemate who is:
* Exceptionally clean and tidy (we rotate weekly cleaning of shared spaces — you'd clean once every 3 weeks, and always clean up after yourself).
* Professional and independent, with an active lifestyle.
* Respectful of others’ space, time and belongings.
* Social but not reliant — happy to have a chat now and then, but equally content doing your own thing.
* Someone who takes initiative and doesn’t need reminders or “mothering” to help maintain the home we all share.
If you’re often too busy to clean, that’s fine — you’re welcome to book a cleaner for your week. What matters most is that you contribute to keeping the house lovely and liveable for everyone.
We’re open to respectful male applicants too, but the vibe in the house has always worked best with a female flatmate, so that’s our preference.
Please do not apply if you:
* Don’t clean up after yourself
* Want to spend all day (every day) in your room
* Expect others to take care of shared responsibilities
* Are noisy, messy, or looking for a party house
Details:
* All bills included (council tax, WiFi, electricity, gas, water)
* Minimum stay: 3 months (with potential to extend for a fixed term or monthly rolling basis)
If this sounds like your kind of home, feel free to get in touch with a little bit about yourself.
Looking forward to hearing from you!
