We are Gallal and Euan, two software engineers in our 30s who sometimes work from home. We are friendly and always happy to meet new people. We enjoy socialising together, and both of us tend to travel every couple of months - at least during normal times! We often cook dinner at home for everyone once or twice a week, go for a few drinks in a nearby pub after work, or play video games together.
We're not a constant party household, but our friends sometimes come over on a weekend to play boardgames, or to catch up with food and drinks - we have our own pizza oven, which makes delicious pizza! Of course you are welcome to join us or invite your own friends over, but there's no pressure if you're busy or prefer to do your own thing. :)
The property is larger than most properties in central London for this price. It is very well connected with the District, Circle, Hammersmith & City, and Central lines plus the DLR and the two Overground lines all accessible within 8-15 mins walking distance. The City of London / Tower Bridge are around 30 minute walking distance, and we're within easy reach of local areas like Victoria Park and Brick Lane.
The property is a full four floors terraced house with a heated patio, one shared toilet, and one shared bathroom/toilet. A very spacious living room plus another smaller living space with a gas fireplace. A fully equipped kitchen with good amenities including a dishwasher and washing machine.
Part of the larger living room is a flexible social space that we currently use for dining, board games and occasional woodworking and other creative projects. There is also an attic with a spare double bed for guests and a desk which I use during work hours.
We don’t have any pets, but pets are welcome with the landlord's approval. Smoking is only allowed on the patio.
