Description

Bright double room with large windows, a double bed, a desk, and shelves in a quiet flat. The flat is on two floors and has three bedrooms, but we will only be two (2) persons in *total* (I never rented the middle room and don't intend to). The bathroom will be used mostly by you, as I usually shower at the gym. There is an additional toilet downstairs.

The flat was fully renovated a few years ago with a minimalist, modern style. It has 2 small private gardens, and there are gated communal gardens in front with big trees, curious squirrels, cats, cute (but shy) foxes, and friendly neighbours (rare creatures in London!).

The room will be available from January 2nd.

Bills included: council tax, broadband internet, service charge
Bills NOT included: water, energy (about £30/month/person)
We share the cost of cleaning (products + cleaning person coming every 2 weeks, usually £35 for each of us per month) and we clean the flat by ourselves every 2 weeks (when possible).

A few principles:
- we keep the common areas very tidy
- no vehicle (bicycle or scooter) inside, but you could secure a bike to the front fence within the gated area
- queer-friendly household. No racism. No drunkenness.

Me: I'm a quiet and busy professional in his late 40's (but young at heart, I want to believe). I'm pretty considerate as a flat mate, and a bit of a clean freak (hey, might as well know your flaws).

IMPORTANT: When requesting to see the place, please tell me about:
- a bit about yourself, what you do for a living
- your schedule and hours at home (if you work from home, how often)
- by when you need to move in

The room is only for one person, no couples, no pets.

Looking for someone who does *not* work much from home, maybe 1-2 days a week max.

Would also consider Mon-Fri renter.

Lodger agreement: a lot of flexibility for both of us. I am however looking for someone aiming to stay at least 6 months and possibly longer if it works out. :-)

Transport:
- 8 min walk to Whitechapel station (Elizabeth line + other lines)
- 9-10 min walk to Shadwell station.
- Santander bicycle station just around the corner (and many others nearby)
- Night buses

Supermarkets:
- 9 min walk to Whitechapel Sainsbury's (massive) and Stepney Green Asda
- 3 min walk to smaller Sainsbury's around the corner, open late even on Sundays.
