Description
Hey there! Jess and Bec here - we're looking for 1 more housemate to bring into our house share.
Tenancy officially starts 16th October, but it may be possible to move in sooner providing you pass the private landlord’s checks (work reference and previous landlord reference).
Viewings will be happening:
Sunday 29th September
Tuesday 1st October
Thursday 3rd October
Sunday 6th October
Read on for more details about the house:
Jess - 35, QPOC, British/Trinidadian, Aries
I run a music PR company and do additional activism projects in the music industry for diversity, equity and inclusion. I have a chronic illness so I have to spend quite a bit of time resting but I love to socialise with friends over meals / drinks / gigs etc.
Lived in the house over 7 years!
Bec - 29, Welsh/Canadian, Leo
Actor/photographer/marketeer. Out and about quite a bit socialising with friends, gigs, meals, plays etc. Moved in a year ago!
It’s a wonderful, warm, friendly house, excellently located with lots of great local amenities (listed below).
We're looking for someone to join our house who wants to contribute to a home and create a safe and supportive home environment. It’s a quiet house (not a party house) with a very chilled and serene vibe. We hang out with each other and like to chit chat, but also do our own thing.
More details on the house:
☆ 4 story Georgian townhouse (3x bed, 1x bathroom) located in Whitechapel, with a lovely garden 🌳
☆ Rent = £700.00 pcm (bills about £160 PCM depending on energy prices), deposit will be 1 months rent, Council Tax Band E 💷
☆The lovely double room is located on the top floor of the house, with a bright west facing window, that gets beautiful golden hour light as well as gorgeous birdsong and calming fragrances from our 35 year old bay tree! The room comes mostly unfurnished, however there is a built in closet and separate wardrobe 🪟
☆ House layout:
Second Floor - 2x bedrooms
First Floor - Bathroom, laundry room / closet, 1x bedroom
Ground floor - living room / kitchen / garden
Basement - landlord's old dark room (he is a famous music photographer) we don't tend to use this space actively but can be used for storage 🏰
☆ Excellent transport links with Overground, District, Hammersmith & City, Central Line, Elizabeth Line within 5-10 mins walking distance 🚉
☆ Large Sainsbury's, small Tesco, Genesis Cinema, Stepney City Farm, Gym Group, Royal London Hospital all within 5-10 mins walking distance + lots of local parks, pubs and easy routes to walk to the canal and river 🏞️
☆ Private landlord no so agency fees. Landlord lives in Australia but is super responsive if we need him! 📞
☆ Best suited to someone who:
- is in full time employment (no students Im afraid due to landlord's preferences)
- late 20's + preferable due to current housemates ages
- is Queer/chronic illness friendly
- is clean, kind, considerate, proactive, organised, respectful
- has a good sense of self awareness, emotional intelligence, is a good active listener and has great communication skills
- wants a chilled out home & doesn't mind a little bit of garden work - it’s an old house and requires a certain amount of upkeep
- is looking for a long term rental
***Please note***
- due to housing regulations, couples are not permitted
- unfortunately the landlord doesn't allow pets
- make sure you've read the entire ad and send us a message telling us about yourself and why you feel you'd be a good fit - social media would be a plus!
