Large Double Room in Cosy East London Attic Flat

Hello!

I'm looking for a new housemate to join me in this homely attic flat in East London. The flat is in the attic and up four flights of stairs; unfortnately, there is no lift, but you do get used to it after a while.

The flat is located between Whitechapel and Shadwell stations and within walking distance of the city and Hackney. Columbia Road flower market on a Sunday is only a 20-minute walk away. The area is busy, but the flat is quiet as it's off the main streets.

The room is a large double with a king-size bed, and comes with good storage (a large wardrobe and a chest of drawers). The desk pictured is my housemate's, so not included.

The kitchen and bathroom are shared, we’ve also got a shared living room and dining room, which open onto a large balcony where I've been growing vegetables for the last two years. This side of the flat also faces west, so there are beautiful sunsets.

You will be sharing with myself, Charlotte. I currently work at a sexual health service as a psychologist. I hope that the flat feels like a home, a place to relax from the day, with collective film/tv watching with tea/wine or also in our own spaces. I love cycling up to London Fields Lido for a swim at the weekend, and a potter down the canals and visiting a local pub/cafe/market.

Rent is £1250 with bills around £150-£200 extra each month. There is a £1269 deposit per person.

My current housemate is moving out to live with her boyfriend at the end of our contract on 16th November. The landlord has agreed not to increase the rent and extend it for one year, so this rent is guaranteed at this price for another year. The landlord is very nice and responds to any queries.
