Description
Ground floor double with high ceilings and plenty of space. You will have your own shower and toilet just outside the room, so no waiting around in the mornings. The room comes with a bed, mattress, large desk and chest of drawers. A wardrobe can be sorted by the landlord if you need one.
The House and Facilities
The house is warm in winter with central heating and double glazing and airy in summer if you dare to open the windows. There is a big open plan kitchen, dining and living space that leads out to a patio and garden.
We have the usual appliances including washing machine, tumble dryer, dishwasher, kettle, toaster and microwave. Basically you can cook something proper or just stick a pizza in. A cleaner comes every couple of weeks to do the shared areas and bathrooms. The landlord does not live here but is quick to sort things when needed.
Housemates
There are five of us, ages 27 to 43, working in education, fashion, film and hospitality. Everyone does their own thing but it is a decent atmosphere. There is also a cat in the house, very sweet and very much in charge, so you will need to be fine with pets. Not everyone smokes, you can but please do it outside in the garden.
Area and Transport
About 10 minutes walk to both Willesden Green (Zone 2) and Dollis Hill (Zone 3) on the Jubilee Line. Good bus routes too, the 52 to Notting Hill, Kensington and Victoria, and the 6 into central London.
Shops are close by, including both a small and big Sainsbury’s, plus cafés, restaurants and independents. Roundwood Park is nearby if you want green space and Gladstone Park is not far either. The street itself is quiet but the high street is just around the corner.
What We Are Looking For
We would like someone friendly, clean and considerate. Smoking is fine outside. Couples are not suitable. Age range is 25 to 40. We will need references and proof of income.
Rent and Deposit
Rent is £950 per month including all bills. Deposit is £700.
Availability
Available from 20th October but can be a bit flexible for the right fit.
The room is Room number 1 which is the biggest in the house.
