Description
I’m sadly going to be moving out of my lovely Wimbledon flat at the end of the month, so I’m looking for someone to take over my room from the start of October/end of September.
The rent:
- £625pcm paid directly to the letting agent at the start of each month
- Deposit is £475 and is protected by the deposit protection scheme
- Bills (water, gas/electricity, internet, council tax, and fortnightly cleaner for the communal areas) come to approximately £120pcm each, paid to another housemate who is responsible for managing the accounts
- Please note that the letting agent will undertake reference checks and requires the new tenant to be in full-time employment
The room:
- Fully furnished with loft-style double bed, large wardrobe, chest of drawers, large shelving unit and under-bed desk with drawers. The chest of drawers in the pictures is mine, but the letting agent will be able to replace it with the one that was originally there when I moved in. I also currently have a small sofa in the space under the bed where the desk originally was - I am happy to either remove this and reassemble the desk before moving out, or to sell the sofa if you would like to keep it.
The flat/location:
- Three-bedroom, ground floor flat in a quiet and peaceful 1930s block, with a large communal back garden and secure bike storage
- Spacious living room with TV
- One shared bathroom with shower, bath and sink, and a separate shared WC (no waiting to use the toilet if someone is using the bathroom!)
- Kitchen with shared fridge-freezer, washing/drying machine, electric oven, and gas hob
- Managed by a local letting agency who are always very prompt to respond to any issues with the flat
- Great location just off Wimbledon broadway, with plenty of supermarkets, restaurants, pubs and a shopping centre just a few minutes’ walk away, and lots more shops just up the hill in Wimbledon village
- Five minutes’ walk to Wimbledon station (zone 3) for the District line, National Rail, Thameslink and trams
- Fifteen minutes’ walk to South Wimbledon station (zone 3/4) for the Northern line
- Plenty of green spaces close by, including a lovely little park just across the road from the flat - and Wimbledon Park and Wimbledon Common are both within walking distance
The flatmates:
You’ll be sharing the flat with three others: a couple, Malika and Remy, in one of the rooms, and another young professional, Olivia, in the other room. They are all really lovely and have been great housemates during the time that I have been living there. The flat has a relaxed and friendly vibe, and everyone is happy to have a chat in the kitchen/living room, or over an occasional BBQ, while also being respectful of each other’s privacy and space.
We’d love to find another friendly and respectful young professional to take over my room, so if you think the flat would be a good fit for you, please get in touch with some information about yourself and your availability for viewings, and we’ll be in touch. Thank you! :)
