Description
The Room:
The room is part of a three storey home and located on the third floor which has its own en-suite bathroom and separate smaller lounge all on the same floor. The lounge has its own microwave and mini fridge too.
The bedroom part is located at the back of the house overlooking the garden. It is large with a kingsize bed, built in wardrobes & plenty of storage space. It gets the afternoon and evening sun and is very quiet.
Communal Areas:
We have a communal front lounge that both housemates are able to use - with Virgin Media including all sports & movie channels.
We have a kitchen with a gas cooker, dishwasher and fridge freezer.
We also have a conservatory (with a washing machine and treadmill) and garden which both housemates are welcome to use as well.
A bit about me:
I am the other lodger you’d be living with..
I live on the second floor of the house.
I’m a 50 year old professional working as a full-time nanny. I love meditation, yoga, music, dance and reading. My big hobby is painting acrylic mandalas.
I'm a friendly and warm person who also appreciates quiet and downtime.
I'm very clean and organised with my space and the spaces we share.
Who we are looking for:
We are looking for one person 30+ (no couples) who is social and easy to get along with. Respectful and tidy of the home and the communal areas. Prefer not working from home.
The Agreement:
There will be a lodger agreement as this is a family home. The owner lives permanently overseas but stays in the house for two to three months over summer. Deposit is one month’s rent and the monthly rent includes all bills and a cleaner who comes once a week.
Transport:
- 5 minute walk to Wimbledon Park Station for the District line.
- 156 bus, from Wimbledon - Vauxhall (via Wandsworth + Clapham Junction)
- 14 minute walk to Earlsfield Station for trains to Waterloo
Area:
- 5 minute walk to local supermarkets, cafes and bars, with pubs down the road.
- 10 minute walk to the local park – Wimbledon Park
- 20 minute walk to Wimbledon Tennis
- 25 minute walk to Wimbledon Village that has lots of cafes, restaurants, pubs and boutiques as well as Wimbledon Common.
- 25 minute walk to Wimbledon for all amenities. (or 5 minutes on the tube or 15 minutes on the 156 bus)
This is a perfect area if you want to still live in London but get away from the hustle and bustle of central and be surrounded by greenery.
Please message with a little about yourself and when you’d be available if you would like a viewing.
