Double Room In Beautiful Wimbledon Village

Hello!

We are on the search for a lovely flatmate to move into our flat in Wimbledon Village as our current flatmate has bought her own place. We have a bright, lovely double room up for grabs in a prime location within Wimbledon Village (the best street in London!). We are well connected to transport links - it’s just a 17 minute train to Waterloo from Wimbledon station which also has the district line. A bus from outside our door connects to South Wimbledon for the Northern line in 10 mins!

About us:

We live in a gorgeous flat and would love a like-minded female around similar ages to us who will fit in with our home life. We are 29 & 33, work full time sociable hours during the week and enjoy catching up on the sofa and a Netflix binge! Alice is a Neuroscientist, and Holly works for the Soho House Group.

We like to hit up the local pubs and restaurants, enjoy fitness as well sunny walks through the Common which is located on our doorstep (also great for sunbathing in the summer!) We are looking for someone who enjoys a well-kept, tidy flat and who would like to make this a home and be up for catching up over a wine in the evenings as well as an occasional night out! We both have our own lives too but of course enjoy that we have a much-loved comfortable home life to come back to!

Move in date will be early February 2025 but there is flexibility around dates if needed (our current flatmate is waiting on her move in date from new place)

The Flat:

We live in a lovely two floor flat on Wimbledon Village high street. It’s the perfect location and we only share our entry door with one other flat next door (two females around a similar age!)

On the first floor we have a huge living room with all the furnishings including a gas fire for those winter evenings. We also have a built in desk in the living room storage where the doors slide inwards for a wfh set up! We have a large kitchen with lots of storage and includes a dishwasher, freezer as well as recent new fridge.

The main bathroom would be shared with Holly (Alice has the master with an en-suite). On the second floor, there are three bedrooms including the double room we are looking to fill. The flat is unfurnished, is well looked after and in good condition all round!

The Bedroom:

The room is a double bedroom that's bright and has a large sash window that overlooks the quaint high street. The room comfortably fits a double bed, triple wardrobe and chest of drawers. The room does come unfurnished but our flatmate is up for selling her furniture if there is interest, however if you have your own furniture then this is totally fine and she can remove!

Rent/bills:

The room is £1055pcm and on average our bills are roughly £175pcm each (Council Band F) . Our tenancy agreement means that this rent price will remain locked in until January 2026, so we have peace of mind that there will not be any unexpected increases along the way! The deposit would be £865.38. The flat is owned by a property management group who are great landlords and the tenancy contracts are set up via the management company who are really efficient and great with maintenance.
