Description
Flatmate/Live-in Friend Required
We are Amber and Erica and we have lived in our abode (which we consider to be a palace 😂) in Wimbledon for the past four years. Our flatmate is moving in with her boyfriend and we are looking to fill her room from April. All information about us is included in our mock-up Hinge profiles below to give you a flavour of us 😂 (thought this would be a hilarious joke, but the hours spent on Canva making them probably took some of the humour of out it🤦♀️😂)
The Flat
We love our flat. Without wanting to sound like a classic stereotype of a SpareRoom post… Our flat really is our home. It’s our safe little haven in the middle of the London madness. We are all genuine friends who enjoy each other's company and like to do things together. This is not to say we reside up each other's arseholes all the time, but we are looking for someone who will be our friend as well as our flatmate.
The flat is two minutes away from Wimbledon Common, a ten-minute walk away from Wimbledon Village and a 20-minute walk from Wimbledon itself, which has a great selection of shops, restaurants, gyms, and pubs.
One of the things I have found over the past four years is that you are never stuck for travel options. The 93 bus stops at the end of our road. This goes to Wimbledon in 8 minutes, where you have the District Line and a 17-minute train to Waterloo. Stay on the bus for a further 10 minutes and you are at South Wimbledon with the Northern Line. Get the bus from the flat in the opposite direction and in 15 minutes you reach Putney which has more trains and more District Line. In four years I have never found it difficult to get to work.
The obscene amount of pictures hopefully speaks for itself, but we have a stunning bay window and large living room, a beautiful kitchen, the whole flat is light and basks in the sun when it's out. We also have a huge communal garden which is an utter delight for reading your book in the summer sun.
The room is what you would call, in SpareRoom terms, ‘cosy’. But the cupboards offer an abundance of shelf/storage space, the wardrobe is capacious and the room really is what you make of it. However, there is no desk space, therefore it’s unsuitable for anyone who works from home.
Economics
Our rent is £825 a month, and bills come to about £150 a month.
Just the Three of Us
We both work in theatre and therefore work and live on a schedule that is not exactly the 9-5 grind. We are looking for someone who does not object to me coming home and making my tea at eleven o’clock at night, and doesn’t mind a self-tape set-up being up from time to time. We would love to find someone who also works in a creative industry. Someone who is chill, tidy, and a bit silly is our vibe.
We will endeavour to get back to you as soon as we possibly can!
Move in date April 4th (but can be a bit flexible around this).
