Description
Send me a wee bit about yourself if you're interested.
The room is available NOW. Sep-Oct rent is only £670. 😲 (If you move in a bit later you can pay a day rate instead which works out at £22.33 per day).
Rent from October 16th (when the AST is renewed) is £730 per month, with £760 deposit which will need to be paid to secure the room. It's a 12-month contract with six-month break clause.
NO PETS. 🚫😿
Must have right to rent.
I'm not a student. Students will still need to pay half of the council tax.
- Available for ONE person (guests are fine, just not every night)
- Double room, furnished with three sets of drawers, large wardrobe, desk, double bed with a fresh new mattress
- 15 mins walk to the Elizabeth Line, Overground, Thameslink, DLR, or buses right outside which will take you there in 2 stops. Also 10 mins from Woolwich Dockyard. Some examples of transport efficiency - 20 mins to Greenwich, 30 mins to Canary Wharf, 30 to Liverpool St, 45 to Shoreditch, 45 to Goldsmiths, 50 to Westminster
- Sharing with one person - me! Grown up adult Scottish female, full-time software engineer (with a background in the arts) at a large tech company, works from home 2 days a week, in my room. Quiet and respectful. 🤗 I've been living in this flat six years so I like it very much. I don't drink or smoke but I do still like going to The Pub or watching random bands
- Introvert-friendly (I'm not expecting you to hang out with me all the time because I'm quite boring)
- Bills average out around £200 each a month - council tax (yes, even for students), electric, high speed broadband, water. Council tax is band D. I don't use TV so don't pay for TV license so you'd need to sort that out if that's your thing. I've just switched energy providers so hoping the electric bill will come down significantly
- Quiet area - most of the noise comes from the Thames at high tide 🌊
- Your own bathroom - I don't use the communal bathroom as I pay extra for the ensuite room, so it's yours
- Nice long balcony
- Roof terrace (not that I've ever used it, but it apparently exits)
- Kitchen has fridge/freezer, dishwasher (broken rn but I'm getting it fixed), oven/hob, microwave, washer/dryer, sink (!) plus all my stuff: Instant Pot, air fryer, bread machine (and more)!
- Living room with 2 sofas, table and projector
- Laminate flooring throughout
- Off-road private parking space available with a month's notice (it's currently on loan)
- Room for bikes in the parking area but you're welcome to keep a bike on the balcony instead
- The block is a newish build, in the phase 1 development of Mast Quay, by Woolwich Ferry
- 1st floor flat, access by stairs or lift. No stairs in the flat itself
- 24-hour concierge
- No smokers/vapers (even outside), no party people, students welcome but you'll need to pay council tax (did I mention that part yet)?
- Veggies beware! I'm a meat eater so you'd need to be OK with that (inc pork)
- Woolwich is furnished with many large supermarkets, meat and fish markets, Woolwich Works venue, Punchdrunk theatre, all the usual crap high street shops and some decent pubs
- Private landlord. No estate agents getting in the way
