Description
Lovely double room to let in St Michales Hamlet Liverpool, for a young female professional looking for a house share in a nice area of Liverpool.
I recently moved in myself in May and am looking for one (maybe a second in the future) housemate. It’s a lovely 3 double bed house with two bathrooms, one two piece and one four. It would be shared access to everything, living room with TV and Netflix, office space (to eventually be equipped with two work from home set ups for communal use), fully equipped kitchen, utility room with space for a bike (I also keep mine here) and a small back yard. There is on the street parking with no requirements for parking permits and there is always plenty of room for any friends/family visiting with a car.
The room is currently furnished with a double bed(new mattress provided), bedside table, chest of drawers, wardrobe and mirror. The rest of the house is getting there, I’m slowly furnishing it as I go, has been a bit slow working full time and living alone, but hopefully will have all major necessities in by the time someone moves in!
I work full time as a mechanical engineering apprentice in the city centre and have just bought this house so will be here for the indefinite future! It’s a really lovely area which is what sold it to me, 2 minutes round the corner to lark lane, which has loads of really nice independent pubs, bars, cafes and shops which I visit regularly… 4 minutes to Sefton park with nice walking routes, tennis courts, hockey pitches etc. And about 8 minutes walk onto the Mersey promenade which takes you all the way into the city centre without having to go on the road (I cycle to work along here everyday and it’s ideal for any cycle to workers). There is a big tescos just around the corner, 2 minutes away which is really handy, also a post office and home bargains for any DIY lovers like me!
I am quite sporty, I love my cycle to work, a jog in the evening, I have just recently joined the Sefton hockey club and tend to go on various hiking and camping trips throughout the year, alongside skiing, gym and a few various other activities when I feel like it. I would like to find someone who would enjoy doing these activities together. I also love a good night out, pubs on lark lane are a great spot for a pint, and we’re only about a 12 minute drive from the city centre.
There is also a Merseyrail Metro stop 3 minutes walk down the road for when the weathers really bad, which takes 2 stops to get to Liverpool central (about 10 minutes), and buses running along the main road through aigburth.
I would really like to find someone who is in a similar situation to myself, ideally full time in work, is respectful to the home and helps to keep it tidy, and mainly up for doing things together (I’m also quite new to Liverpool so lots to explore).
I’ve put the room as available from September, but really this is quite flexible just depends on who’s coming in, if we get on :) and if they’re happy to manage with me finishing furnishing the house for the first couple weeks!
I also put a maximum stay of 1 year, again flexible depending on how we get on and what your circumstances are!
Any other questions just let me know :)
