Description
We have a large double room to let to the right person in a renovated 3 bedroom Georgian semi detached house in the posh part of Aigburth (close to Sefton Park and Otterspool). This is a family home more than a shared house.
I am a teacher, returned from overseas, so have plenty of tales to share about sailing and diving in the Middle and Far East! My ex is still based there, but stays with us when he's in the UK.
It's a quiet house in a leafy suburb with lovely neighbours.
The garden is pretty amazing, as is the sheltered smoking lounge we have out there. The kitchen is the social hub of this house... especially if you can cook and eat meat. We like meat eaters so that we can share the occasional meal!
We are 10 minutes walk from Sefton Park, and only three minutes walk from Otterspool Promenade and Park, which backs on to Sefton Park! .
VERY Close to 82 and 500 bus route (every 5 minutes and a 20 minute ride to town) and Aigburth station... (northern line trains every 15 minutes and it takes 10 minutes to town).
Car parking on private driveway is currently full, but there's plenty of street parking nearby. Very, very, very local shops.

1. Since we still like to travel, our ideal lodger will double up as caretaker and pet sitter when we travel - thank you for that if and when it happens. 😎
2. There is NO smoking in the house but we have a pretty awesome monsoon shelter for smoking, replete with armchairs and couch outside which is used more than the lounge!
3. We have NO TV and prefer lodgers NOT to bring one. If you are dependant on mainstream propaganda, this is not the house for you.
4. It is a house with character - things need to be done a certain way, so it's better if you're a fast learner.
5. We need someone we can trust who can trust to look after the house when we both travel at the same time. Therefore you must be grown up and observant and willing to care for the house as tho it's your own. In return you get an entire house for the price of a room when we travel.
6. We are looking for LONG term lodgers, minimum 6 months. If you want a short term boarding house then don't be surprised if I ask for short term boarding house rent.
7. The small double (Room3) has a loft bed so you need to be nimble enough to climb a ladder daily! It also helps if you're shorter than 6 foot!
8. All bedrooms have wardrobe, storage cupboard, drawers, shelving, desk and chair.
9. We currently have Rm 1 (£520pcm) and Rm3 (£400pcm) available.
