Description

Hi, my name is Jerry and I’m looking for a second housemate. It is an LGBT household but open to anyone regardless of gender or orientation.

The house is close to the city centre and nearby Princess and Sefton Parks’. It is within walking distance, through the park, to all amenities including GP, supermarkets, restaurants, bars, cafes and has very good bus routes to town centre or airport in opposite direction.

You have nearby Lark and Lodge lanes’ for good choice of groceries, cafes, bars and restaurants.

It’s a 25 min walk, or 10 mins if using bike or car, to St Michaels Station for connections to Southport, Chester and the Wirral. Station has secure storage for bicycle.

Otterspool Prom is about 25 mins walk or 10 mins bike/car ride away, for over 14 miles of walking or cycling along the River Mersey. You can get to Southport or Pickerings Pasture easily in both directions, by bicycle, if you wish to go further afield along the full estuary.

The house is a 2 bed terrace in the Granby Four neighbourhood area, which won the Turner prize a few years back. There is a monthly market at the end of the street, a horticultural rewilding project, the Granby Winter gardens and café are across the street from my house. There is a finch rewilding project so lots to observe or get involved in.

The house has a large open plan living/dining area, there is an additional shower/wc downstairs as well as the bathroom upstairs, there is a small utilities room for laundry/ironing, an outside, south facing small yard that you can sit in and relax or sunbathe in the Summer months. It has full central heating and hot water, dish-washer, washer/dryer & usual appliances.

The house is neat and tidy and would expect roomie to be the same and willing to co-share cleaning/maintenance tasks.

There is a large double room with a king-sized bed and mattress, chest of draws, large French vintage wardrobe and study area.

I’m transitioning from a busy, full-time, hectic professional life to a more relaxed one that involves writing and travelling. I will be away this Summer and possibly the winter months also but would like to keep my room, the smaller room, for the next year at least, so you will have the house to yourself a good proportion of the year.

You will be a non-smoker or drug user. This is not a party house so would suit someone quiet and mature. Neighbours are a mix of young working families or older, retired residents.

Bills including council tax come to around £200 extra a month. However, the unpredictability of the energy market, means the gas and electricity is constantly under review, so this could change, subject to discussion.

£650pcm + £200pcm bills. £850pcm total. 1 month deposit and min 6 month stay. Available straight away.
