Hi, I rent one (double sized) bedroom + share rest of a 2 bed + boxroom terraced house. In Wavertree, Glenfield Road, 4 minutes walk from Penny Lane/Allerton Road/Smithdown Road next to Wavertree Park (with good gym, track and Olympic pool). Bus to centre takes 20 minutes, about same to LJMU and the University of Liverpool, 20 minutes walk from Hope Uni, or from Marsh campus of JMU. Good transport, shops, social life, beautiful parks, friendly neighbourhood.
I am 59 yrs old, was Senior Lecturer in Psychology and Criminology, worked unpaid for NHS as a psychologist; now have group of five part-time jobs. Had lodgers for about 20 years, many still close friends. Tolerant, kind, untidy (respond to nagging!) want lodger for company as well as money.
Rent includes all utilities: £75 a week.
Want a generally quiet person please. Suits tolerant, Bohemian types - especially if they want a place where they can both feel at home and also be supported when they need to work.
My present tenant has asked to stay here until June. If you want to rent for academic year then you should be able to move in just before term (to save money).
Perfect for Hope Psychology Clearing; 3rd years and Masters – can use my books, etc, and discuss work (a bit!).
Room has fridge, fast broadband, cable TV, double bed. Kitchen has microwave, dishwasher, all equipment expected, washing machine. Each downstairs room has TV, broadband & is computer-friendly. Wi-fi, including networked laser printer, etc.
