Description
The room is small but freshly decorated and comfortable and there is ample communal space in the house, which would hopefully make up for that.
Previously, the house has suited those coming to study, work, learn English, or do an internship short-term in Liverpool. It would also be ideal if you are looking for a short-term base while you settle in to the city.
The room would not be suitable if you are hoping to bring furniture.
Bedroom furniture: single bed, small desk, chair, clothing rail and shelving unit, and, if wanted, an extension lead and European-UK adaptors.
Bedding is provided, which might be especially useful if you are planning on staying in Liverpool for only a short time. There is also spare bedding for guests who might stay overnight (overnight guests within reason).
The bathroom and kitchen have recently been refitted / redecorated so are nice and fresh.
There is space to park outside at the front.
The house is 10-15 minutes by bus from Liverpool city centre (routes 86, 80, 75, 699) and all universities are within 20 minutes. There are also direct buses to the airport, which is 30-40 mins away (routes 80A and 86A). There is space to store a bike in the utility room.
We have a back yard which is a decent size if not particularly picturesque. If you smoke, you can smoke in the yard - no smoking in the house.
The area has plenty of restaurants, bars and takeaways, and is very close to Sefton Park and Greenbank Parks. Swimming pool and sports centre are also a short walk away.
Whoever moves in will be expected to contribute to cleaning, and generally keep the house tidy.
The amount shown as rent above is inclusive of all bills - gas / electric / water / Council Tax, TV Licence, Virgin Media TV and Internet - and also includes common items like toilet paper, bulbs, bin bags and cleaning products (not laundry products).
The house is equipped with iron, ironing board, microwave, hoover etc. but there is no dishwasher or tumble dryer.
I would expect rent to be paid promptly by the start of the month and you would sign a lodger's agreement, which I can send to you to have a look at before or after you view (without any obligation, just for further information).
If you are not yet in the UK, then we can arrange a Skype / Whatsapp call to have a chat and for me to show you round the house.
My profile shows that I am a live-in landlady, but I will be away in London working for most of the summer so most of the time, there will be three people sharing the house.
