Description

The terms are flexible and I haven't put loads of thought into it (yet) so if you're after a longer term, Mon-Fri only, or whatever, let me know and we can maybe sort something out.

I live in the house with my two daughters, aged 11 & 13. The girls stay here roughly 50% of the time - at other times they are with their mum who lives nearby.

I am looking for some supplementary income to help me with the cost of living in the house so I'm looking to rent the spare bedroom. Here's a description and a bit of info:

It's a spacious and light double bedroom in a semi-detached, 5 bedroom, 3 bathroom house situated in (arguably) one of Hampton Hill's best streets. The house is nestled in a dead-end part of the street so is usually nice and quiet. The residents are a mix of families and retirees - no hoodlums.

We are a few minutes' walk from the High Street where you can find bus stops, coffee shops, Tesco & Sainsbury plus other stores, restaurants and amenities. Fulwell rail station is the closest - a brisk walk will get you there in under 15 mins. Slightly further afield there are Strawberry Hill and Teddington stations should Fulwell be experiencing any issues.

The High Street has a convenient entrance into Royal Bushy Park and we are also a walk away from Hampton open air swimming pool.

Onto the room and interior:

Yours is quite a big room. It's on the first floor and faces the front of the house (north-ish) with a large double-glazed bay window. In the room there is a large built-in wardrobe, a solid wood chest of drawers, a wall-mounted mirror, a bedside cabinet, a Habitat oak double bed, a vintage sofa, and a work desk and chair. There is a TV antenna point in the room and fast fibre broadband (W-iFi and ethernet/wired). There is a gas central heating radiator fitted with its own thermostat in the room.

There are three bathrooms and a downstairs toilet in the house. You will have use of what is known as the "family " bathroom which has a bath with shower attachment. The kids have a bathroom upstairs and I have an en-suite so although you won't have exclusive use of it I don't think you'll find yourself waiting.

We have a cat, so you must get on with cats if you're going to stay here. She's old and timid so she won't bother you unless you befriend her.

Strictly no smoking/vaping please. Because my daughters live here I'm looking for a female lodger, and someone well behaved/quiet.

I work from home so will be around a lot of the time.
