About me:
I am a Doctor who works long hours. I am looking for a working professional who is quiet and appreciates a clean living space. I would like someone trustworthy, who is easy to get along with, and enjoys cleaning up after themselves in order to preserve a lovely home environment. It is important to respect the privacy of eachother and therefore guests are strictly not permitted unless this is discussed with me beforehand. Visiting the property prior to lodging is compulsory.
Location -
The property is well located on Elm Drive; a quiet and peaceful road of North Harrow. North Harrow Underground station (Metropolitan Line - Watford/Chesham) is a 4 minute walk, West Harrow Underground station (Metropolitan Line - Uxbridge) is a 14 minute walk and Rayners Lane Underground Station (Piccadilly Line) is a 15 minute walk. There are a few lovely parks, as well as multiple restaurants, a gym, 3x pharmacies, a GP surgery, costa, supermarkets, barbers, mechanics, post office, pubs and halal butchers all within 10 minutes walk. I have lived in this area my whole life and I love it!
Shared areas -
The property is newly refurbished. Lodgers will have access to a hallway and a large dining/sitting room which overlooks the scenic garden; perfect for enjoying a morning cuppa! There is a large kitchen with access to a microwave, toaster, kettle, oven, fridge/freezer and gas hob. Cutlery and basic cooking utensils are provided. Lodgers will be expected to clean up after themselves and thus keep the kitchen, and other shared areas in a clean state for others to enjoy; this includes sinks, unwashed dishes, floors, countertops, toilets, dining table etc. There is a large bathroom which will be shared between 1-2 lodgers and myself. There is an additional toilet downstairs in the utility room which also has a washing machine, dryer, iron, ironing board, and heated airer. A garage is available for storage and plenty of parking is available all along the street. There is also a lovely garden to sit outside in, with a barbeque. There are a few CCTV smart cameras in and around the property as well as a security alarm system for all of our safety.
The double bedroom - This is a large double bedroom which overlooks the garden. It has a large amount of wardrobe & storage space. This room is for 1 lodger only. (£800pcm) (Taken)
The single bedroom - This is a single bedroom with a triple wardrobe of storage and under-bed storage. (£600pcm) (Available)
Inclusions:
1. Water, Gas and electricity is included. I expect lodgers, however, to be mindful of the environment by turning off all taps/switches/appliances/lights when they are not being used etc and keeping exterior doors/windows closed when possible during the cold weather. Electric blankets are permitted but electric heaters are not permitted.
2. 125mbps fibre optic broadband with WiFi6 router
3. Council tax
4. Cleaning materials such as toilet roll, hand wash, kitchen roll, washing up liquid, dish washer consumables, and detergents will be provided at my discretion. Washing machine consumables are not provided.
5. Ad hoc cleaner for shared spaces usually every 3-4 weeks
