Description

Lovely, cosy room with double bed in spacious, well-kept Edwardian detached home with garden, patio area and BBQ.

Room - approximately 6 ft 4 x 12 ft

Furniture includes double bed (4'6 wide), tall bedside shelf unit, double wardrobe, drawers chair, rug, mirror and lamp.

The landing space immediately outside the room has additional storage in cupboard and an extra clothes hanging rail.

The room overlooks the garden and, as it is at the back of the house with its own corridor, no-one walks past so it is private.

Please note that there is no desk in the room so it is not suitable for WFH on a regular basis.

Shower room

Shower room has a good-sized shower with powerful overhead shower and hand held shower; toilet; wash basin; wall cabinet & wall mounted towel rail.

There is also a main bathroom.

The house

The house has a large hall (room for coats), and downstairs toilet. There is a large, modern, sociable, eat-in kitchen with island unit, dining area and laundry facilities.

There is a good-sized garden with patio area and BBQ, and outside store room for a bike. A parking space on the large, gravel drive is sometimes available depending on whether it is currently in use by one of the housemates.

The house is in a lovely area with all the cafes, pubs, and shops of St Margarets nearby as well as Twickenham High Street and Richmond. Moormead Park is round the corner, Marble Hill Park and the river are a 15 minute walk. The house is a 10 minute walk from Twickenham Film Studios.

The current housemates are professionals, male primary school teacher, 34 and female vet, also studying psychology part time, 42. Both have been here for more than a year. My 22 year old daughter is home after studying Theatre and Performance at Warwick Uni. She is pursuing a career in the Arts. My 29 year old son lives nearby and often pops in.

I am looking for someone who will fit in to this friendly home. There are few house rules beyond the normal, keep the place tidy and be respectful of the other house mates!

If you are fairly sociable, pleasant to live with and would like to live in a comfortable, well-kept home, then I'd love to hear from you. I am very friendly and enjoy chatting but we all need our downtime too. So far, I've had the loveliest people staying here.

I enjoy the theatre, walking, swimming, reading, and catching up with friends and family. I've recently taken up golf, never thought I would! I like to travel and I speak french.

I don't mind if you are a student on a work placement or a professional. The most important thing is that you feel relaxed here and I (and the other housemates) feel comfortable sharing our home with you. I look forward to hearing from you.
