Description
Hello there,
Heike here. Our flatmate Sean is moving out and we are looking for the right person to replace him. The room is available for a long term rental, is bright, spacious and features a new double bed, a press cupboard, a new carpet with a thick underlay, a large wardrobe, desk and a few quirky shelving units. The window lets in a lot of sunlight and provides a nice view of the neighbourhood. Sorry the new double bed with a lovely wooden frame and current room layout don't feature in the photographs...due to technical gremlins I had to post a selection of old pics!
If you are a professional, with a sense of humour, are aged 30+, experienced in sharing a flat, with a calming, warm, respectful and mature personality who is also clean and tidy this might be the place for you. The flat is not suitable for home working. We are also a very quiet flatshare, with no wild parties or loud music. Heike enjoys good conversation, but also knows then people need their own space.
If this sounds like your kind of place then please do get in touch and make sure you tell us a few things about yourself, what job you do, the hours you work, interests, and what sort of flat-share you are looking for. We will be making our decisions who to invite for a viewing based on your response.
A little bit about ourselves:
Habeeb is in his mid 40s and works in the hotel / tourism sector. He enjoys reading and sometimes if his time allows volunteering at Park Runs.
Heike will be 50 years old later this year but is still a spring chicken at heart and has lived in the flat for a long time. Until last year she volunteered in the poverty & inequality sector. Heike is addicted to foreign crime dramas and sometimes likes to bake or cook a nice meal. Heike has become socially isolated due to chronic health conditions and therefore enjoys catching up, having a wee giggle and hearing news of the outside world but also loves and requires her own space.
Bruntsfield is a 20 min walk away from the city centre, has excellent bus routes, supermarkets and shops. We rent through the Flat Company, are HMO licensed and are looking for someone interested as mentioned in a long term rental only. Our kitchen / living room and bathroom were only recently refurbished. We also have access to the communal garden at the back of the building.
Now the important bit...rent and share of bills
Room available from 23 April
The rent for the room is £500pcm
deposit is £650
Council tax share is £65.97pm
Gas / Electric Direct Debit share currently sits at £36
Broadband apr £20
Please note that our rental agency / landlord does not accept students, couples and pets. The rental agency will of course carry out all the necessary background checks. This is also a none smoking flat. We will only consider applications from people wishing to share long term.
Viewings are being held tonight and tomorrow night between 6.00pm – 8.00pm. I don't have a Zoom account but if you want to view the flat over Zoom you can always send me a link at a agreed time.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Heike
