Description

THE ROOM
A spacious high-ceiling room with a double bed and carpeted floor (which retains warmth well during the winter months). Peaceful, east-facing and located towards the back of the building facing the shared garden. Features a decorative fossil stone fireplace. All in all a comfortable living space.
Furniture also includes two cupboards (one wooden standing, the other built-in), a chest of drawers, and a bookshelf. The room also comes with access to shared cupboards in the hallway for extra storage if needed.

THE HOUSE
A classic tenement house on the beautiful Bruntsfield Place, just a five minute walk away from the Bruntsfield Links with loads of lovely cafés and the Union Canal nearby. Good bus links & everything in Edinburgh centre reachable on foot in 15-30 minutes.
The house has a huge lounge with beautiful windows and loads of room for craft/arts projects, as well as an extra desk for working from home. There are two toilets (one bathroom + single toilet). The kitchen has a dishwasher, 2 fridge/freezers & a washing machine, and there is space to store bicycles.

THE FLATMATES
You’ll be living with Clara, Amalia, Jack, Julia – we work or have recently studied in areas such as neuroscience, human rights, and the environment. While everyone has their own life going on, we also like to spend time together over various activities – cups of tea, cooking meals for one another, heading out for a hike or a good old fashioned pint. We also love a film night.

The house definitely has a home vibe going on, and we’re looking for someone who will participate in chores & taking care of the flat. While this is not a massive party flat, friends are always welcome over and often do. There is a sofa-bed in the lounge for anyone to use for guests.
