Description
Looking for a new flatmate as my current one is moving out in a couple of weeks, around 21st May (exact date tbc).
Please note the monthly price advertised is for the room only, and the additional costs for bills are broken down as follows:
£70 council tax
£30 utilities
£10 internet
...= £550 monthly payment, absolutely everything included.
You will be sharing the flat with myself and my partner - we are two hard working professionals (one English, one Spanish) in our late twenties who both work full time. We are looking for someone friendly who is happy to be quite independent but would like to socialise a bit over a beer or a coffee from time to time. We enjoy cycling, good coffee, watching Netflix and exploring new places around the world, but really we're open to sharing with someone with any interests as it makes for good conversation!
The room is as pictured and comes fully furnished with the double bed, mattress, drawers and built-in wardrobe. I can also lend you pillows/duvet/sheets if needed.
There is lots of shared space with plenty of sofas and a big dining table. The separate kitchen is a decent size, perfect for those who enjoy cooking. All kitchen appliances, saucepans etc are for shared use and you will also have your own cupboard and fridge space. There is one shared bathroom with electric shower over the bath. The flat does not have a dedicated parking space however we are in an area with free on-street parking if required.
The flat is in the Abbeyhill area, right opposite the Meadowbank shopping centre where there is a big Sainsbury's for all your grocery needs. We're also very close to a lovely pub called the Safari Lounge which does a good selection of food and craft ales, and I can also recommend the Red Kite cafe. We're very close to Holyrood Park, which is perfect for those who enjoy going for a run. The flat is easy walking distance to the New Town/Old Town/Waverley station (20-25mins), and we're also on a well-serviced bus route between the city and Portobello.
I'm a live-in landlady so it's super easy to report any maintenance issues while you're living here. I ask for 2 references - ideally one from your current landlord and one from your employer (although I am very flexible if this doesn't suit your situation for whatever reason). In return I will issue you with a formal contract and inventory, with the contract running on a rolling monthly basis. The deposit is £500. Please just ask if you have any questions about this.
I look forward to hearing from you!
