Bright Double Room in Newington

Hiya,

My flatmate is moving out so I'm looking for someone to rent the second room in this lovely flat on Duncan Street in Newington. The room is available from the 8th August.

The flat is bright and spacious with loads of storage and a shared living and dining room. It has a really cosy and homely feel and gets lots of sun. There is a private parking space, it's in a quiet location but also is close to bus links to get into the city centre as well as the Commonwealth Pool and Arthur's Seat. There's also shops, cafes and pubs nearby.

The room comes furnished with a bed, two chest of drawers and a big built in wardrobe. There is a desk and desk chair available if you would like.

Rent is £650pcm. Deposit is £900 (might be a bit more - waiting to hear from letting agent). Wifi and bills are approx. £50 each and council tax is band C. The letting agents require references and a credit check.

I'd prefer to share with another postgrad student to make council tax easy but also open to people who are working!

A little bit about me:

I grew up near Inverness and have been working in Edinburgh for 2 1/2 years. I love cooking veggie food, singing at open mic nights and gardening. I did a permaculture design course this year which I loved! I studied philosophy in Glasgow so also love having chats about that and going to trad, folk and jazz gigs.

It would be lovely to live with someone who is on a similar schedule and who would be up for some social things too. LGBTQ+ friendly :)
