Description
Looking for a mature PhD student or working professional who would enjoy a calm, comfortable home in Abbeyhill.
I’m offering a bright room in a charming three-bed colony flat with a private garden. It’s a peaceful space, ideal if you value cleanliness, quiet, and a relaxed atmosphere.
The room has recently been fitted with built-in storage (shown in the most recent photo), which is for your private use. It’s large enough to store suitcases, boxes, and other bulky items, making it easy to keep your room tidy and organised.
At the moment, a male friend of mine is living in one of the other rooms, but he will be moving out in a few months. Once he does, you’d be welcome to use his room as an office or extra space at no extra cost, essentially two rooms for the price of one.
I work hybrid, two days a week from the office and the rest from home, so ideally, I’m looking for someone who either works full-time from an office or has a similar hybrid schedule or at least sb who works from coffee shops from time to time.
I’m looking for a female flatmate with a similar lifestyle to mine. I don’t date men, so it would be great to live with someone on a similar wavelength or in the LGBTQ+ community. This is an old house with thin walls so it's just best suited for people with similar lifestyles to me.
I’m fairly introverted, I enjoy a barbecue in the garden or the odd film night, but I’m not into parties, so I’m looking for someone with a similar outlook. Obviously, you are welcome to have some friends over or organise a dinner party from time to time - I would be doing the same.
I share the flat with a friendly cat and a small dog, so a pet-friendly flatmate is important. They are pretty chill and don't make any noise but they will try to give you a cuddle.
Practical details:
Bills: We split them in 3. Once my flatmate moves out they would be then split in half. At the moment they are around £30 per person for utilities, plus £15 per person for Wi-Fi + Council Tax band C
Excellent location: Sainsbury’s, Lidl, Poundland, KFC, B&M, Costa Coffee, The Gym and more are all within a 5-minute walk. Leith is a 10 minute walk away and the city centre is 20 min. Lots of bus stops around - genuinely super easy to get to places from here.
If this sounds like the right fit for you, get in touch to arrange a viewing.
