Welcome! We have a great small double room available in our flat in Tollcross/Meadows.
About the flat:
Lovely second floor flat with a fantastic Meadows/ Tollcross location. Bright, south facing living room with views of the Bruntstfield links and a homely/ sociable layout. WIFI and wooden floors throughout. Spacious kitchen with lots of storage and normal facilities (gas hob/electric oven, washing machine, fridge and fridge-freezer, microwave). Well-kept bathroom and second WC (handy in a flatshare!) Plenty of bike storage in the stairwell or spacious hall. Friendly stairwell neighbours and private landlord (with a good long term existing relationship).
About the Room:
Small double room with a nice big window facing west. Comes with a double bed, chest of drawers, bookshelves, desk. It has double glazed windows and wooden floors. Rent is £400 plus deposit (1 month’s rent). Bills are roughly £70+pp/pcm (CT, WIFI, TVL) plus variable gas & electric depending on usage.
About us:
We are Marianne (F,39, Scottish), Francesc (M,40, Spanish), and Hally (F,28, Scottish). We are all professionals, some who work from home, so this is not a party flat. The flat has always struck a nice balance between personal space and a sociable/ friendly atmosphere. We all have our own lives but we're not strangers, we value the respectful environment we have and expect you to too. It generally works best when we have two male and two female flatmates, so we hope to recreate this (so looking for a male ideally).
About you:
You will be of a similar age (preferably in their 30's), professional, non- smoker, looking for long-term rental. No students, no couples or pets, sorry. The room would suit someone friendly, proactively clean and tidy, who wants to share a pleasant space, a friendly chat in the kitchen and the occasional meal.
If this sounds good to you please get in touch and tell us a little bit about yourself and your situation. The room is available from 1st February (but could be available up to 2 weeks earlier by negotiation). We will invite people to view starting the first week in January.
The landlord requests references and proof of employment to be shared ahead of lease signing.
