My flatmate is sadly moving out, so I am looking for a new flatmate!
The available room is the larger one of two bedrooms. It comes furnished. We also have a kitchen, a quite modern bathroom, and a large living room with a sofa area and table, which is currently used mainly for dining and working.
I am 32 and in my fourth year of my PhD. work for a left-wing social science journal, and I'm politically active. I read a lot, enjoy cooking Mediterranean things, being outdoors, and I can be enthusiastic about all kinds of film genres.
I think it's good if we’d manage to keep the flat reasonably clean. However, if you never want to see any breadcrumbs, we aren’t a good match. Instead of arguing about something like that, I'd definitely find a conversation about an annoying day at work or some new obscure film more meaningful.
What else?
- The flat is centrally located, in the Stockbridge area. About a 10-minute walk to Princes Street. A large Waitrose, Sainsbury’s and M&S are all nearby.
- We have access to a garden, and the Royal Botanic Garden is not far. Wardie Bay is a ca 35-minute walk.
- It’s a brick building from the 1930s/40s, which means we still have relatively high ceilings, and it's warmer in winter than in the classic tenements.
We just had a rent increase, but at least that means it’s secure for a year. On average, electricity comes to £50, internet to £26.5 (can possibly be reduced to £10). If council tax has to be paid, it would be band D.
