Description
My lovely flatmate is moving out soon for an exciting new job abroad, so I’m looking for someone to move into our 2-bed flat in Old Town from September.
The Flat:
• 2-bed with shared bathroom, kitchen, and cozy living room.
• Double furnished room available
• Rent: £600/month
• Bills: ~£50–70/month
• Council Tax: Band B (~£70/month)
• Permit parking available
• Fantastic location in Old Town, just 5 mins to local shops/supermarkets, a few mins to the nearest bus stop, 10–20 mins to Waverley Station, and right next to Holyrood Park with an amazing view of Salisbury Crags.
A bit about me: I’m finishing a Master’s in Climate Change Management and currently job-hunting in the sustainability space. I’m into yoga, climbing, crafts, cooking, and all things outdoors. I’m not a drinker but like a good pub quiz or a wine/cocktail night now and then. I also enjoy hosting the occasional cozy dinner or movie night, this is a homey space, not a party flat.
I’m hoping to find a flatmate who’s up for building a friendly and relaxed home; someone who enjoys the occasional chat, shared meal or activity, but also values their own space and independence. Ideally, you’d be looking to stay long-term and contribute to a shared sense of home.
Looking for someone who is:
• A working professional (for council tax reasons).
• Planning to stay long-term.
• Office-based or hybrid (not fully remote).
• Clean and respectful - willing to share a cleaning rota.
• Friendly, easy-going, and good with occasional guests (my boyfriend usually stays over a couple nights a week).
If this sounds like a good fit, send me a message with a bit about yourself. Would love to chat and potentially set up a viewing!
