Hello!
My name is Matt and I have a spare room available in my home for a lodger for up to 3 months. I am getting my bathroom done on 23rd February - if you are able to stay elsewhere for a couple of weeks from this date, we can discuss longterm tenancy but otherwise 20th February would be the date the tenancy ends by.
I am from Northern Ireland, relatively easy going and looking for someone who look after and respect the place and likes a balance of socialising and their own space.
The flat is in a great area between Portobello and Meadowbank - You can get a bus to Princes Street in 20 minutes. The bus service is regular including express services. The beach is a 30min walk away through a lovely park. I think it offers that perfect balance between access to the city and a bit of quiet, away from the hustle and bustle.
On that note I would want someone who is considerate and respectful of neighbours, no crazy loud parties or anything like that, relatively chilled out and mature - it's important we get along as this is my home.
As for hobbies and interests, I love music, play guitar myself, enjoy a bit of gaming so up for Mariokart battles 😂, also just enjoy hanging out with pals, adventures, cinema, nights out, walks, cycling and gym if I am feeling motivated 😉.
I work for the Open University handling safeguarding cases, I do sometimes work at home, the room here has a desk so that option is open to whoever rents the room, though would prefer a hybrid worker or if you have an office to go to, then great.
The deposit is £700 and the monthly rent includes all bills - energy, Wi-Fi, council tax.
If you are interested I will ask for a reference or your last two payslips and have a basic lodgers agreement to be signed.
