Description
Hey all,
This is Lukas, and unfortunately I have to leave Edinburgh. I leave behind a super nice big room in a New Town flatshare with my lovely roommate Marianna.
Are you up for the challenge of taking my place?
The room is spacious, and part of a quaint but also somewhat old-timy flat. The kitchen overlooks a serene courtyard, mostly gardens. Centre of view is a willow, which seems to offer solace, if needed, through its leaves dancing in the breeze. To the front, the room itself faces classic Edinburgh New Town scenery, including the architecturally intense auction house next door. Nearby Broughton Street is a hub for cafes, restaurants and very middle-class shops. Frankly, the whole area is very middle-class, plenty of baroque-decorated living spaces of more senior neighbours and SUVs. While some of that energy is also in the flat, I would argue it has a certain lowkey-ness about it, imperfect tiles in the hallway, some scuff marks on the walls where people bumped their bicycle wheels into them, that kind of thing.
If that sounds like it matches your vibe, I would love to hear from you.
Your roommate would be Marianna, a Polish second year PhD student in sustainable energy, which is a nicer way of saying its geology and includes a lot of data crunching, but at least with a twist of being a genuinely good thing. You'll meet her then to see if you click, but I'd say she is really great, not only because she got me back into kickboxing. I think she is looking for someone reasonably calm and tidy :)
The shower is bloody awesome, we are talking thick stream, good heat, every day starts with a win here.
The rent would probably be a bit higher if you are not a student - then we have to pay council tax ;)
Please feel free to send me a message if you are interested, I am looking forward to meeting you, and
All the best,
Lukas
