Accessible East Pilton room to rent

Hello all,

I have an accessible medium double bedroom with negotiable rent in North Edinburgh with frequent buses to the city center taking about 30 minutes (including walking time).

Available on either a short or long term basis, available immediately (though can wait for a later date for the right person).

Rent by default is £400pcm + bills which are negotiable but normally £90pcm plus council tax where applicable. Council tax would be £45/month for non-students. Deposit, rent and bills are negotiable if in need and/or you are willing to do extra to help out.

I’m also happy to accept benefit claimants and students including international students without a UK guarantor.

This isn’t your average situation; I’m looking for someone who has some common interests with me, is inclusive (in particular queer and disability inclusive & knowledgeable), and is okay with living in a household with regular PA/carer visits twice daily (at minimum).

The flat has step free access and preference will be given to people with access needs. It also has a partly adapted bathroom (without shower) and an adapted ensuite wet room for my bedroom that you’d be welcome to use.

I have two resident cats and a visiting dog and would be happy to live with someone who has pet(s) provided they are comfortable with other cats and dogs and you are ready to do a slow introduction if they are free-roaming.

Note: because I am renting out a room in the flat I live in I have no landlord number.

Note 2: Because of my fatigue & disabilities I do not generally do initial visits in person but by phone or video call. If we still want to go ahead after that an in person viewing is of course possible at that point.
